Filipino-American YouTube personality Wil Dasovich created a short but sweet video for his cosplayer girlfriend Alodia Gosiengfiao to celebrate their first anniversary.

In the two-minute video which he posted on his Twitter account, Wil recounts how Alodia changed his life.

"After facing one of the hardest challenges of my life, for my life, it has been a long and difficult journey this past year. At the same time, it happened to be the best year for one particular reason, meeting you," he says in a voice over in the video.

He also expressed his deep appreciation for his girlfriend for everything she did for him.

"I really look at you like a mythical creature and sometimes find myself pondering how I got so lucky not just to meet you but spend everyday with you, side by side," he continues.

Wil then urged his followers to share the video and tag Alodia who tweeted her appreciation for the video.

Last year, Wil battled colon cancer and Alodia flew back and forth from the US to the Philippines to visit him. The couple have been together for a year.
