Kapuso actor Rodjun Cruz confirmed the news that his mother, Beth Cruz, succumbed to pancreatic cancer earlier today, February 2.

In a post on Instagram, Rodjun expressed his gratitude to his mother and commended her fight against pancreatic cancer.

“Mama maraming salamat sa mahigpit na yakap ilang araw bago ka kinuha ni Lord kanina,” Rodjun wrote.

“Ang tapang mo at hanggang dulo lumaban ka dahil sa sobrang pagmamahal mo samin tatlong magkakapatid.

“Everyday kang nananalig at nagdadasal sa kanya kahit na nabigla tayong lahat sa pangyayari na may pancreatic cancer ka.

“Sobrang sakit at hirap tanggapin na hindi na kita mayayakap, mahahalikan araw-araw at maririnig ang malambing mong boses at makikita ang ngiti mo na nakakapawi ng kahit anong problema.”

Rodjun's fiancée, Dianne Medina, was also saddened by the sudden passing of her second mom.

“I lost my mom 8 years ago and now, I lost my second mom,” she wrote in a post on Instagram.

“More than the wedding, aside from getting married in December, I so looked forward to finally calling her my 'MAMA' as that's what she's always been to me.

“I thought this year was going to be a year of preparations - getting ready for the wedding, for married life, for hopefully my own motherhood - but no one can ever be prepared for any loss.

Dianne also shared that Mama Beth was the third wheel in their relationship.

“Sobrang sakit talaga. You are my 2nd Mom, my bestfriend, my ka chikahan, my sumbungan, trio tayo sa lahat nila RJ tayong tatlo talaga ang magkasama kahit date night namin ni RJ hindi pwedeng wala ka.

“I know you're in a better place now with my Mommy.

“No more pain tita. Mahal kita, Mama Beth!”

I lost my Mom 8 years ago. And now, I lost my second Mom today. More than the wedding, aside from getting married in December, I so looked forward to finally calling her my “MAMA” as that's what she's always been to me. I thought this year was going to be a year of preparations--getting ready for the wedding, for married life, for hopefully my own motherhood--but no one can ever be prepared for any loss, especially a loss like this, especially a loss of a person who is full to the brim with so much enthusiasm and energy and light and love. I thought this year will be the start of a new chapter of our lives--not just for RJ and me, but also for her and me, and also for the 3 us (it's always the 3 of us going out on dates and I never minded because I love her and RJ is a proud Mama's boy and that's one of the things I love about him). Now it's just hard to think of life without you, Tita @bethcruz747 you know how much I love you. Sobrang sakit talaga.
