Kapuso newbie Andre Lagdameo is stepping out of his sister's shadow, model turned entrepreneur Mikaela Lagdameo. Get to know more about this future heartthrob in this article.
Nineteen-year-old Andre Lagdameo is destined for the entertainment industry. After all, he is brother to Mikaela Lagdameo, a prominent name in the modeling industry for more than two decades now. Andre stepping out of her shadow was only a matter of time.
Now that Andre is finally ready to accept his destiny, which path will he choose? Will it be acting? Or will it be modeling like his big sis?
Skin care tips from Kapuso newbie Andre Lagdameo
GMANetwork.com had the chance to interview the future heartthrob and he talks about how he got his start in the biz and feeling the pressure in his new-found celebrity status.
"I did hosting in school events before, mga Intramurals, stuff like that," offers Andre who took up Business Administration in San Beda College, Alabang.
In 2017, Andre was chosen as one of the 13 finalists of the SM Youth Go-See Season 2. The six-foot-tall looker was described in the search as a person who is "passionate about spoken word poetry and acting."
Last year, June 2018, Andre was signed up by GMA Artist Center as one of the network's up and coming talents.
“I enjoy meeting people who are more experienced than me and to hear their stories how they've grown as artists," says Andre of his new experience.
Andre is now part of digital show Kapuso ArtisTambayan as co-host to Joyce Pring.
What can he say about his latest gig?
“At first, I felt a little pressure because people are watching. But I'm learning to relax and enjoy."
He also has kind words for Joyce whose personality he describes as bubbly.
“I've been enjoying so far, the energy of Joyce is so bubbly. It's really fun to work with her and I've been enjoying the new people that I've got to meet so far."
When asked what Andre is looking forward to this 2019, he said: "I really want to travel more, not just locally but out of the country, cause I also do modeling and I'd like to do shoots abroad or if there's a hosting event abroad.”
