Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee speaks up about why she felt driven to join the Miss World pageant.

In a talk with the Autism Society of the Philippines, Michelle said, “You know a lot of people ask me why I joined Miss World, as opposed to the other beauty pageants and I did that because of their motto, which is beauty with a purpose.”

She narrated how this mantra helped her have the motivational drive to give back to the community through advocacies that help people with autism.

Michelle takes autism awareness to heart as she grew up with two siblings with Autism, “Having grown up with two autistic siblings taught me the concept of purpose.”

“The Philippines and the whole world should be an autism-okay nation and world,” she concluded.

Michelle is currently in London, United Kingdom for the Miss World Philippines 2019 pageant happening this December 14.
