Dingdong Dantes and other celebrities spread awareness about the Taal Volcano eruption online.

Taal Volcano had an eruption today, January 12, 2020, 43 years after its previous major one.

As of 04:00 PM, PHIVOLCS raised the alert status of Taal Volcano from Alert Level 2 (Increasing Unrest) to Alert Level 3 (Magmatic Unrest).

Online, celebrities posted their own photos and tweets to spread awareness about the said eruption.

Dingdong Dantes snapped a photo of the smoke all the way from Indang, Cavite.

Anne Curtis tweeted out a prayer to keep everyone safe.

Beauty Queen Maker Jonas Gaffud narrated his first-hand experience when the volcano erupted just as he was taking a photo in Taal.

"Posing then suddenly it erupted! I thought it was just thunder. I did not see the news this morning that 6,000 residents were evacuated this morning. I heard someone on the radio telling someone to stop the tours to the volcano. Time to eat and run."
