Dr. Jocel is an Active Consultant Dermatologist at the St. James Hospital and New Sinai MDI Hospital, while her husband, Dr. Joseph, is an Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine Specialist at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

She celebrated her husband's accomplishment by posting a photo of him with the caption: “Through God's grace, my husband, Jondi (and his team), was able to send home 3 recovered covid-19 patients, all of which are elderly. Because we all need some good news!”

As of March 25, 4:00 p.m., the Department of Health reports that there are already 636 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus Disease in the Philippines.

However, there have also been a total of 26 COVID-19 patients that recovered.

The elderly and individuals with compromised immune system are among the people who are most likely to have a hard time recovering from COVID-19.

That's why it's very uplifting to hear news that our doctors and nurses have successfully helped Filipino elders infected with COVID-19 recover from the dreaded disease.
