Winwyn Marquez Thia Thomalla and Michelle Dee

Winwyn Marquez, Thia Thomalla, and Michelle Dee share their thoughts about COVID-19 and what they plan to do once the quarantine is over.

Glow Up hosts Winwyn Marquez, Thia Thomalla, and Michelle Dee open up about their anxieties due to ongoing threat of COVID-19.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.The three beautiful ladies tell that their disposition to look at the brighter side of things help them cope with their feeling of anxiousness and dealing with insomnia amid the enhanced community quarantine.

Thia Thomalla tells, “I am healthy, my family is healthy. So, thank God for that. Pero, hindi rin mawawala 'yung anxiety na worries na, when will we go back to work, when can we work and have our normal life again.

“'Yun lang naman 'yung emotions ko recently. Minsan okay, minsan hindi. If I'm not okay I let myself be. If I'm okay, then I work out, kumakain ako on time, and naglalaro lang with the dog.”

Similarly, Michelle shares that keeping herself busy has allowed her to manage her emotions.

“I'm super aware when you try to think of the future nakaka-anxious nga kasi you don't know when things will go back to 'normal' pero wala na ngang normal. It's more of like the new normal na, 'di ba?” she explains.

“Pero what I try to do is I try to focus on my personal goals. I try to learn something every day. I feel like I've been managing my stress well naman. Kasi I like meditating in the morning, I read self-help books so, hindi pa naman ako nababaliw.”

As for Winwyn, handling her stress levels is a walk in a park once she channels her energy to other activities like baking and exercising.

“It's hard for me to sleep sa gabi kasi dun nangyayari 'yung naiisip mo 'yung lahat. Sabi nga ni Michelle, na hindi mo alam kung kailan matatapos yung lahat.

“But then ang ginawa ko is I channel 'yung anxiety ko to other things because I taught myself how to bake. Ang nangyayari, kung anong ginagawa kong bread, pandesal and everything, ako rin 'yung kumakain.

“It's just nice na even though may anxiety and may worry at least alam kong hindi lang nasasayang 'yung oras ko kasi may natututunan akong bagong skill.

"I learned something na I didn't know na kaya ko pala. So at least may positive na nangyayari even if nasa bahay lang talaga.”

Plans post-COVID

Afterward, the three Kapuso artists discussed among themselves the activities they'd like to do and places they'd like to visit once the quarantine is over.

For Michelle, it's simply going to the gym and the beach.

She says, “To be honest, I miss the gym. I miss the beach, first and foremost, kasi lahat ng travel plans ko na-cancel so I want to go out kung saan ako hindi puwedeng pumunta ngayon, doon ko gustong pumunta.”

Winwyn went for a more practical approach and said she wanted to visit her family and friends.

“I wanna see my family. Kasi siyempre lagi kong nakikita at lagi kong nakakasama is 'yung brother ko. So 'yung mga kaibigan ko and 'yung mom ko, I want to see them.” she shares.

Meanwhile, Thia has two plans in mind: to go to her province in Leyte and to visit her homeland in Germany.

“Depende actually,” she says.

“Sana may trabaho naman ulit kaagad after this. Pero kung wala, I was planning to travel to my home province in Leyte and see my parents kasi they're alone right now.

“And then kung may trabaho, then mag-iipon kasi I'm planning to go back to Germany for a month or two to see my sisters. Ayun 'yung mga plans ko.”
