Bretman Rock on speaking his own language

Bretman Rock addressed this issue in his Instagram stories.

Filipino American social media influencer Bretman Rock revealed his apprehensions about living in an English speaking country.

According to the popular YouTuber, he grew up with the fear of speaking his own language.

Bretman is a native Ilocano speaker.

He said in his Instagram stories, “Growing up I was always ashamed of speaking my own native language because I was scared of what my friend would think.”

Bretman said now he realized his advantage of speaking more than one language.

“Now that I am older... wow I can speak English and other languages. I can communicate and comprehend other languages. And people who live in America only know English.”

He also said that English is easy compared to his native language.

“English is the easiest language to learn.”

Bretman then addressed the people who have developed the habit of making fun of immigrant kids, who are not fluent in English.

“The ******* that made fun of immigrant kids, or anyone that does not speak English. Try learning our language... because it's not easy. And that's on tuldok!”
