Jasmine Curtis Smith

'Descendants of the Sun PH' Jasmine Curtis-Smith talks about her work in a global humanitarian organization.

On June 15, Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith joined World Vision in their virtual run (to raise funds for the organization in helping kids and families in need.

According to the actress, helping the charity wasn't a huge feat for her since she has already participated in their various works prior to entering show business.

She tells GMANetwork.com via Zoom, “I have been involved with World Vision at my school in Australia. So, I supported World Vision Australia, iba 'yung napupuntahan nung sponsorships nila --- I think in South Africa.

“So, when World Vision Philippines saw that I was involved sa mga campaigns and fundraisers nila doon, and sakto kasi I was trying to build a career here, they thought it'd be perfect to partner with me since natural naman sa akin 'yung maging involved.

“At the same time, I was trying to build a name [in showbiz] and with that name, I can invite more people and para at least natural and organic 'yung pagiging ambassador ko. Hindi 'yun I learned it lang because kailangan tama 'yung sasabihin ko in public.”
