Before becoming one of the biggest vloggers in the Philippines we know today, Benedict Cua's first passion has always been acting.

And with him being a part of the Kapuso drama series Anak Ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday, Ben now gets to live his dream of being an actor!

For his latest YouTube vlog, Ben shared a few tips on how to become an "artista" and enter the world of showbiz.

One of his tips is about determining one's own purpose on why they want to become an actor.

According to Ben, "Personally, gusto kong maging artista because bata pa lang ako, kapag nanonood ako ng TV, always kong pini-picture 'yung sarili ko na nasa television. Madalas ginagaya ko 'yung mga actors, 'yung mga dialogues nila. Even mga commercials, tina-try ko maging one of them.

"Pero never akong nagkaroon ng courage to actually pursue it kasi in my mind, thought lang siya 'eh. For me, noong bata ako, it's something na alam ko sobrang impossible makamit.

"Now na nagkaroon ako ng opportunity to act, I really love the art of acting. Whenever I act, iba 'yung feeling 'eh. When you portray someone na hindi ikaw, tina-try mong ibahin 'yung personality mo to become that character. It's really hard 'eh, hindi siya basta-bastang pwedeng gawin.

"Hindi talaga tumatak sa isip ko na kapag artista ka, it's all about money. Now that I got to experience it, talagang it's really not about the money. Hindi porke't artista ka, andami mo nang pera just like hindi porke't vlogger ka, andami mo nang pera. You have to really know what you really want and why you really want it.

"Kung ang reason mo kung bakit gusto mong maging artista is gusto mong makaangat sa hirap, gusto mong maging mayaman, kaya kailangan natin kahit anong trabaho, iyon talaga 'yon. Pero iba 'yung purpose of wanting to love this kind of art and share it with other people and possibly inspire someone as well."

Kamakailan lang ay ni-release na ni Ben ang kaniyang debut single na "'Di Namalayan."
