Maine Mendoza gets real as she posts her entry for the Black and White Photo Challenge.

People are joining an internet trend that began a few years ago, making its rounds anew on social media.

The Black and White Challenge was revived to inspire hope and faith amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Among them is Maine, but unlike most celebrities, the Eat Bulaga dabarkad chose to accompany her photo with an inspiring message.

She wrote, “Because we are not always “beautiful, strong and incredible”. Here's my entry to acknowledge the downs and not just the ups.

“Cheers to the strong; to the brave; and to the broken ones out there.

"We are all fighters and survivors in our own battles. Whatever life throws at us, let's keep going. Keep swimming.. just keep swimming.”
