Singer and comedian Nar Cabico did an impressive cover of one of French singer Edith Piaf's signature hits, "La Vie en Rose."
He shared a short video of one of his performances in Las Vegas, Nevada where he sang the song for a very enthusiastic audience.
The performance was made even more special as he sang it in three languages--English, Tagalog and the original French.
Nar also shared how special the song is for him.
"I was 15 when I first performed this version at the Cultural Center of The Philippines, Tanghalang Huseng Batute. I remember Madamme Andrea Veneracion (National Artist for Music) was really moved, she came up to me and corrected how I pronounced 'Rosé' in the song- and that moment stayed with me 'til now," he wrote on the caption of his video.
He also shared that "La Vie en Rose" has become one of his go-to songs for gigs.
"15 years later, the song has somewhat become my trademark as I've performed this in New York City (2016), Paris (2016), and recently, in Las Vegas, USA. I hope you take the time and enjoy this rendition, especially the Filipino adaptation written by our National Artist for Theater and Literature, Rolando Tinio," he said.
