What a real-life hero! Jennica Uytingco and her team were able to retrieve a lifeless body during their rescue operations in Marikina.

Jean Garcia's daughter, Jennica Uytingco, placed her invisible cape yesterday as she and the Alliance Search and Rescue team went to look for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses in the cities of Marikina and Rizal yesterday, November 12.

Before her heroic action, Jennica asked for prayers and strength to do her job well.

More than eight hours later, Jennica posted another photo to share that she and her team could retrieve the body of a woman named “Manang Terry” in Marikina.

Because of the lack of equipment, she shared they had to improvise a stretcher to transport the body to their rescue boat, which they had borrowed for the operations.

The actress even said a prayer for Manang Terry, who sadly lost her life due to drowning because of the typhoon.

“Rest in Peace, Manang Terry,” she wrote in the post.

Jenica ended the day on a good note by thanking a good samaritan for giving her team some snacks while they were taking a short break in Rizal.

Ang dami!” she gleefully wrote on Instagram.

While there is still more work to be done, Jennica said she's happy to be of service to her fellow Filipinos and asked for more prayers for all the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

“Maraming salamat po ulit. Please continue to pray for us, the families in Cainta, and everybody in the Philippines who are still in dire need of help.

“Mula po sa amin, maraming salamat po.”
