Gazini Ganados raised the conversation about gendered occupations in her recent social media post.

Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados has voiced her opinion about gender socialization.

She was raised by her strong and independent mom, who she said can do jobs that are rooted in stereotypes.

She raised the conversation about gendered occupations in her recent social media post, showing her mom welding steel.

“When I was young, I was already exposed to the reality that my mother is capable of doing anything!

“Jobs should have no gender. Being a single mother is not for the faint-hearted.

“My mom is my image of strength: always putting her best foot forward and making sure we live a decent life,” she wrote.

Gazini also took pride in becoming a woman of substance who embodies strength because of her mom's influence.

“And I say this with pride: I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me. Cheers to every phenomenal woman out there!” she added.

She is currently training for the virtual marathon-distance relay of ASICS World Ekiden 2020. The event will be joined by participants from across the globe.

Gazini gears up to represent the country once again.
