Mikki Eduardo 'proposed' to Bettinna Carlos' daughter Gummy and even gave her a ring.
What a way to start a family!
Newlywed Bettinna Carlos revealed that her husband Mikki Eduardo also "proposed" to her daughter Gummy.
Mikki asked her if he could become her father to which Gummy gladly accepted.
The "proposal" happened on the night before Mikki and Bettinna's wedding.
"December 1, 2020, The night before our wedding, @mikki.e.eduardo proposed to @gummy_carlos. He asked her if she will allow him to be her father and raise her to the fear and knowledge of the Lord. To which she said YES!," Bettinna wrote on her Instagram account.
Bettinna calls the event another answered prayer as well as a confirmation from God that Mikki is indeed the man for her.
"This was an answered secret prayer for me. One I never told anyone but the Lord. One I asked from Him twice. I asked God to confirm that if Mikki really is His best for us that he would give Gummy a ring too. After all, he is not just marrying me but her as well. God heard and heeded my prayer. Hallelujah!," she continued.
Mikki even prepared a ring for Gummy, similar to the engagement right he gave to Bettinna.
He also admitted to feeling nervous as this was another step into their new lives.
"I was more nervous proposing to Gummy than when I was with Bettinna. There were minimal guides/templates online. I already had my sister in law @teteduardo make a ring similar to the one she made for Bettinna. But beyond that, I had no exact words to say," he shared.
However, his faith gave him strength.
"What gave me comfort are the words of God in Rev 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Was reminded that even if Jesus is Lord, He doesn't force himself on people's lives. God asks if we want Him as our own Father in our lives," he says.
Mikki was also very grateful that Gummy accepted him into her life.
"And I just took off from that, I asked Gummy if she would accept me to be her father. Thankfully she said yes :)," he ends.
Bettinna and Mikki were married on December 2 in Tagaytay.
The couple got engaged last October.
