The towering import will be remembered for helping San Beda win the NCAA Season 86 title in 2010 with a perfect 18-0 record.

Sudan made his debut for the San Beda University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in 2009, replacing the squad's graduating import Sam Ekwe.

With Sudan manning the paint, the Red Lions dominated Season 86 en route to a perfect 16-0 record in the elimination round to enter the Finals outright.

San Beda's hot streak carried on to the Finals, disposing the San Sebastian Stags in two games to win the championship and finish the season with an unblemished 18-0 slate.

Sudan's strong performance earned him season and Finals MVP honors.

He would stay in the country after his stint with the Red Lions to work for shoes and apparel outlet, Titan Group.

Sudan also took on an emcee role for the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 tournaments.

The Los Angeles native graduated in San Beda with a minor in marketing management and a major in business corporate communication in 2012.

Sudan was one of the imports who made a lasting impression in the NCAA.

Sports fans may also not see another foreign player as explosive as Sudan in the country's oldest athletic league.

The NCAA board has prohibited the participating schools from enlisting the services of foreign student-athletes beginning in the upcoming Season 96.

The ruling aims to give more local talents the chance to play. It likewise “levels the playing field” and avoid some teams from having an unfair advantage over the others.

The NCAA has given GMA Network the rights to air its games starting from Season 96 up to 101.

GMA Network will broadcast the league's basketball, volleyball, swimming, and athletic competitions nationwide through GMA News TV as well as its website.

The men's basketball finals will be aired on the main GMA-7 channel while international audiences can tune in via GMA Pinoy TV.

"We are all devastated by Sudan's loss. However please continue to pray for him and his family.

"Thank you for all the sympathy and support during this time.

"You will be missed Su.
