Nearly five months after getting engaged to her boyfriend, Vino Guingona, actress Empress Schuck got a surprise of a lifetime when her closest friends and family members threw her a bridal shower on the eve of her birthday, February 18.
On Instagram, the bride-to-be shared clips from her bridal shower, and her reaction was priceless.
She said, “First-time ko na ma-surprise ng ganito! No words can express how I feel. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but I just like to thank the Lord for blessing me with these wonderful people! I'll never forget this day.”
Turning to her friends, she wrote, “Thank you for making me feel loved! To all my friends/bridesmaids who didn't make it, thank you for your gifts and efforts as well! I appreciate everything.”
After being greeted by her friends, Empress burst into tears and was then comforted by her fiancé, who spun her around for a dance.
Empress thanked her bridesmaids in a separate post, including actress Melissa Ricks, for giving her a proper send-off before saying the words “I do.”
“I don't even know what to say while typing this! I'm so blessed by thoughtful, unselfish friends.
“I can't thank you guys enough. This is a dream come true. I love you all! #SchucksGnasiya #BrideToBe”
Though it is not yet confirmed when Empress and Vino's nuptial would be, photography company Nice Print Photo hinted that the wedding bells might come “very soon.”
In a set of beautiful photos released on February 18, the company said, “These two are tying the knot very soon. Beautiful couple @itsempressita and @vinoguingona.”
Empress got engaged to her non-showbiz partner Vino in September 2020.
Vino popped the question during the 5th birthday party of their daughter, Athalia, and said that the day became more special because it's a “new celebration of God's intention.”
She said, “A new chapter begins for me, and I know by walking with God together, we are on the right path.
“The goal of our relationship is to honor Him and do things that are right in His eyes, and that's what we're going to do real soon… Praise be to God.”
