The couple has been dating since Aljon's playing days in the college ranks.
Barangay Ginebra forward Aljon Mariano is the latest PBA player to get engaged.
The 28-year-old cager proposed to longtime girlfriend Kayesha Chua last February 27 during a vacation in El Nido, Palawan.
“I asked the love of my life to marry me and be my forever,” Aljon posted on Instagram.
Kayesha also posted a sweet message on Instagram, writing, “With you, I've always known exactly where we were going it was just a matter of time, God's perfect timing. And it absolutely was.
“I am marrying the man God has destined me to be with my all kinds of love rolled into one person! My best-est friend with you all the way.”
Aljon and Kayesha have been in a relationship dating back to Aljon's playing days with the UST Growling Tigers.
Kayesha - who won Miss Bicolandia in 2017 - competed for Binibining Pilipinas in 2018 and Miss World Philippines in 2019.
Aljon was the 16th overall pick in the 2015 PBA Draft, with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel drafting him to bolster the team's young core.
He won five championships with Barangay Ginebra thus far including the recent 2020 PBA Philippine Cup after beating TNT Tropang Giga in a best-of-seven series.
