Former pageant contestant Shamcey Supsup-Lee took a trip down memory lane and recalled her amazing journey as a Miss Universe contestant.

In 2011, Shamcey brought pride to the country by placing third runner-up in the prestigious international pageant.

In her recent Instagram post, the beautiful mom of two, remembered the day she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines, which happened a decade ago or on April 10, 2011.

She wrote, “10 years ago I was crowned Binibining Pilipinas-Universe and I will be forever grateful to @bbpilipinasofficial for the opportunity of a lifetime; to represent the Philippines in the [Miss] Universe Stage.”

Shamcey added that she couldn't believe that she would go that far in the competition, since she's a first-timer.

“As a first-timer in the pageant world, I never thought that I would go far in the competition,

“But I also believed that we are place in a position for a purpose and I hope that I was able to serve mine.

“My reign ended but the universe has continuously blessed me with opportunities to empower women and I hope to continue doing so in the next 10 years or more 🥰 #WhereDoYouSeeYourself10YearsFromNow #WhereWereYou10YearsAgo”

Fast-forward to today, Shamcey Supsup-Lee is the national director of the Miss Universe Philippines organization.

The current Miss Universe Philippines, Rabiya Mateo, is already in the US preparing for the 69th Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in May 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida.

In addition, Shamcey is a hands-on mom to her two kids with husband and businessman Lloyd Lee.

Their two kids, Nyke, was born in January 2016 while Peter Nathan Lee came into their lives two years later.

Shamcey and Lloyd tied the knot in 2013.
