Love You Stranger lead star Gabbi Garcia is putting a twist to the popular YouTube trend of reading one's assumptions about a celebrity or personality.
This time, Gabbi lets her fans react to her old photos and see what they think of her back when she was young.
She explained, “Last week, I was busy cleaning my room kasi ang tagal na natin stuck sa house. And that's when I found my old baby photos.
“Nakaka-throwback siya kasi I really had a great childhood. I remember my sister was my bestest friend growing up, tapos close kami ng family ko. We would often travel and create memories together. So baon baon ko siya ngayon.”
Gabbi then said, “Naisip ko na, I could share my childhood memories with you through my old photos. So, I posted my old photos on my IG Stories and asked what your assumptions are about the young Gabbi.”
In the 20-minute vlog, the Kapuso actress revealed many stories about her childhood, including the one about her original name, which was supposed to be “Gabriel Luis Lopez.”
According to Gabbi, her mom thought she was growing a baby boy in her belly.
“Nasa tiyan pa lang ako ng mommy ko, she actually thought I was a boy,” the 22-year-old revealed.
“Kaya my original name dapat was Gabriel Luis Lopez. Feeling n'ya talaga boy ako kasi ang lakas n'yang kumain tapos ang likot likot ko raw kasi lagi akong sumisipa.”
She continued, “Kaya ayun, she prepared a name for a boy. Pero, as it turns out, I was a girl kaya ginawang Gabriella Louise Lopez.
“Centennial baby kasi ako kaya I was kinda named after Gabriella Silang. Strong at matapang. Let's go, Gabriellas!”
Gabbi also revealed that she weighed around 8.2 pounds, making her a “big baby.”
She added, “Akala ni mommy masi-CS siya kasi parang ang laki-laki ko pero normal delivery naman. Sobrang nahirapan daw siya when I asked her.
“Mataba talaga ako nung bata ako hence the name 'Ba,' which stands for batchoy. So that's my nickname dito sa house.”
Unlike most babies who'd often munch on baby food, the Kapuso actress was already fond of eating healthy food at a young age, including a wide range of vegetables and fruits.
“Matakaw ako nung bata ako kaya siguro hanggang matakaw ako ngayon kasi nasanay akong kumain ng mga ganung pagkain. Matakaw since 1998,” she proudly declared.
