Bimby Aquino: "I'll set the record straight. I'm straight. I like women. I don't like boys."

Kris Aquino did a heart-to-heart talk with her son, Bimby Aquino Yap, in time for his 14th birthday on April 19.

In a 20-minute vlog posted on Faceboook, Kris asked her second son about the nagging gay rumor about him.

Bimby said, "I'll set the record straight. I'm straight. I like women. I don't like boys."

Kris's son with former husband James Yap also said that he doesn't really mind what other people think about his sexual orientation.

"Wala, I don't feel anything," Bimby told his mom.

"I just feel like, 'Sige, if you think I'm gay, all right, dude. But you do realize na that gay community sa Philippines is a strong community.

"Parang like, it did not go through my mind 'cause I know what I am. I'm straight. I'm straight as an arrow."

The celebrity kid further noted, "They're entitled to their own opinion on what they think about me just as long as you don't, like, attack me. If you say, 'I think he's gay,' I'll respect that. But I'm not gay.

"But if you say, 'Uy, beki si Bimb, kadiri,' that's wrong.

"As long as you debate with someone at may respeto ka sa tao, okay lang. If you have different opinions, okay lang 'yan, sure."

Kris, on the other hand, assured her son that she's going to be a supportive mom whatever he chose to be.

"Whatever you are, I'll accept you," she said.

"I really don't care, honestly. Parang whatever you chose to be, it will be fine with me for as long as you excel.

"I mean, if you're gonna be gay or whatever you wanna be, you better be at the profession you choose to be. That's just my feeling. And I'm so anti-homophobia."

She also stressed, "Well, you know Bimb, whatever you chose to be, it's none of their business. Okay?"

This is not the first time spoke up on constant gay rumor about him.

In 2017, then 10-year-old Bimby called out people mocking his gender identity.

He said, “Why would you judge a child?

"Don't judge a child. It's because we're still learning about ourselves and puberty hasn't struck for me yet."

Bimby's type of girl

In the same video, Kris asked her son what type of girl he wants.

"Ooh, wow!" Bimby reacted excitedly.

"I like brunette. Brunette or blonde. That's just color. As long as she has nice hair, nice legs."

"Mom, that's not perverted, it's legs. Malamang I'll say boobs, momma. Nice face, good neck."

He went on to say, "If she wears glasses may *kilig* so cute. So, we can be that eight eyes. I wanna name our couple "eight eyes."

Apart from physical appearance, Bimby also said, "I want her to be smart. Well read means also smart.

"[I want her to be] very generous 'cause I learned that from you. Di ba, you said once, 'Bimb, if you're gonna get a girl, make sure she's as generous as your mama.

"Like I tried to be--smart, smart with well-readness, generous, kind. Kind to kids, kind to anyone."

Like others, Bimby said the characteristics of a girl beyong appearance are still more important.

"Let's be realistic, people judge books by their cover. And if they're cover is not great but your personality is great, they have to open the book muna to see what's inside," he noted.
