The beauty queen from Iloilo was still all smiles and was game enough to enjoy the moment.
Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo accidentally fell into the swimming pool while in the middle of a promo shoot that was part of the pre-pageant activities of this year's Miss Universe pageant.
In a video uploaded by pageant training and coaching camp Aces and Queens on social media, Rabiya can be seen with half of her body soaked in the pool.
The 24-year-old beauty queen from Iloilo was all smiles though and even appeared to be enjoying the unexpected moment.
“A lot of things happened. First of all, I accidentally fell in the pool so I got half of my outfit wet. And then I almost lost my diamonds,” said Rabiya in the video.
She later said in her Instagram story that her diamonds were safe.
“You have nothing to worry about. I just want to say thank you to Drake of Luna for letting me borrow his diamonds,” she explained.
The 69th edition of Miss Universe will be held on May 16 (May 17, Philippine time) at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
