Former actress Niña Jose-Quiambao revealed on July 11, Sunday, that she suffered a massive second-degree burn on her thighs, butt, and some parts of her private area. She acquired it after accidentally spilling boiling water onto her groin area while doing suob or steam inhalation.

According to the former reality TV contestant and now wife of Bayambang, Pangasinan mayor Cezar Quiambao, 2020 was a very challenging year for her health. It can be recalled that in March of 2020, Niña and Mayor Cezar both tested positive for COVID-19. The unfortunate burn incident happened a year ago, too.

Burn victim

Niña shared graphic photos of her extensive injury in an Instagram post accompanied by a caption detailing “one of the most traumatizing and painful moments” in her life.

Parts of her caption read, “I was so paranoid about my health... I thought I could self-medicate and do suob. Suob does wonders don't get me wrong, but in general, I am a very clumsy person.”

She then revealed exactly how the horrific accident happened.

“On this day last year around 11 pm, I was doing suob and the pail of steaming hot water was on a shaky table. In a matter of minutes, the steaming hot water fell on me, on the sofa where I was sitting down. I was in shock. I did not even stand up right away. I didn't even cry right away, but after a few minutes I did.. hahaha late reaction.. It turned out it was a second-degree burn in my thighs, butt, and some parts of my private area hahah…

“They had to debris the burn in the shower and I was in immense pain.. my pain tolerance is quite high but this one I couldn't take I had to be under painkillers and the pinaka-extreme one na dextrose... the meds and the cream and the band-aid thing was super painful too because it sucks out the wounds and the burns haha raw flesh talaga... and every time I'd take a shower I would cry and pray Hail Marys️"

Niña had to sleep on her tummy for a month. She couldn't sit down and pee properly. Her movements were either to stand up to walk around or remain to lie down. It left her in pain for two months.

Miscarriage

Somewhere in her post, Nina also revealed that she suffered a miscarriage. She wrote: "Very funny too because I was supposed to give birth that month if I did not suffer a miscarriage.

“Duon pa talaga nangyari in the private area hahaha!!

Niña also said that a day after her accident, she saw a Marian apparition.

“Mama Mary appeared to me, and she said, “Do not be afraid, I am Our Lady of Sorrows... visit me at 3 pm.” I am not really a devotee of Our Lady of Sorrows but after that apparition, I searched for the nearest Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and went there at 3:30. The church bells were ringing too! Haha.”

She then reflected on her whole experience gave people a warning.

“It was amazing lang because I guess all the sufferings and pain we have in life is useful too as sacrifices for others hahaha extra points in heaven haha. Moral of the story: be careful when suob-ing.”
