RuPaul Drag Race queen Manila Luzon is on the hunt for Pinoy drag queens!
The Fil-Am reality TV star announced she will be hosting Drag Den, an upcoming drag queen competition show in the Philippines.
"It's time to lace up, Pilipinas! You wanted a drag cartel? We heard you, and we're making it MAJOR! The first ever drag reality show in the Philippines is finally here, and I'm running the show! See you soon at @DragDenPH #DragDen," she said in a post.
Though Manila Luzon hasn't revealed details about the show's format yet, the drag queen teased that an audition is happening soon.
She told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview, "We're going to be auditioning very soon for some very talented queens."
"When I went to the Philippines several years ago, I was amazed by the talent and dedication that these queens put into the art form of drag. I tried everything I could to help showcase and shine a spotlight on them."
The reality TV star also said she wanted to give back as a way of giving tribute to her time competing on RuPaul's Drag Race.
"I'm excited that we're going to create an opportunity similar to [what] RuPaul and World of Wonder have given to me," Manila said.
"I'm so excited to be able to give back in some way. In the Philippines, the drag scene is still quite small and underground, so I'm excited to bring it to the forefront. Hopefully, they'll have a similar journey that I've had and that the rest of us queens have had [and] we'll take over the world, one little island at a time!"
Manila Luzon rose to prominence when she appeared on season 3 of Emmy Award-winning series RuPaul's Drag Race which aired in 2011. She is known for her outrageous acting skills and campy fashion style.
