Volleyball player and Kapuso star John Vic De Guzman contemplates the highs and lows of celebrating his birthday during a pandemic.
Volleyball player and former Owe My Love cast member John Vic De Guzman posted a contemplative message on his Instagram account to celebrate his birthday.
Alongside a photo of him near some windmills, John Vic described his birthday celebration as something he never imagined.
“A birthday in isolation is the saddest celebration I never imagined,” he wrote. “But on the brighter side in being alone I get to talk to you Dear Lord.”
After thanking God for his blessings, the national athlete also thanked other important people in his life and wished for their “safety and strength.” He also called on them to keep guiding him towards the right choices.
While social media birthday messages aren't a new thing, it has certainly become more poignant and contemplative during the pandemic.
