Megan Young explains the details of why she needs to learn how to be independent while in quarantine.
Megan Young admitted that she used to be reliant on people before the quarantine started. According to her podcast with Mikael Daez, the last year has taught her how to be independent and why it is important to her.
Megan said, “I used to be very dependent on Fofo (Mikael) as we all know. I used to be very dependent on Sel who is my PA and she is our help at home. Especially at work, I will always be like Sel is just there to help me out all the time.”
The Kapuso star said that she used to seek her PA's help all the time that she is at work.

“If I was in taping, or I was at a shoot, I would ask Sel for every little single thing that I needed. I wouldn't be able to get it myself because at the back of my head, Sel is always there. She's always there to help me. I will just focus on work. If I think about it para akong baby na may yaya talaga.”
What changed her is the realization that not having her PA will make her feel lost or she could not function.
“I didn't like the feeling of having that sense of security in that aspect because I was too dependent on other people na parang kung bigla na lang silang nawala or be there with me I would feel like I couldn't do my job properly.”
When it comes to her career, she now states her opinion when it comes to the path she wants to take.
“I used to be so dependent on my management. I would let them have the say in everything without thinking about is this something that I really want to do, or is this really something that I feel I am able to put value into?”
Megan added, “At the back of my head, yes put all the trust in my management and they will just do everything, decide everything and I'll show up.”
She now believes in doing what she believes in and pursuing what she wants in her career.
“I realized in the longer run, what if I am not happy with what I am doing because of a decision someone made for me without asking me?
“I needed to be able to empower myself and say na okay ito 'yung plano na gusto ko para sa sarili ko. Ito 'yung path na gusto ko para sa sarili ko.”
