Filipino-American content creator Bretman Rock is the first openly gay male celebrity to be featured on Playboy magazine's cover.
Bretman is one of the few men to wear the iconic Playboy ears for the magazine, including actors Ezra Miller and Paul Rudd.
The Fil-Am beauty influencer is the third male star to appear on the cover. He follows in the footsteps of musician Bad Bunny who appeared in the July 2020 magazine cover and Playboy's founder Hugh Hefner who graced the cover of the magazine.
Playboy shared a quote from Bretman's interview saying, “For Playboy to have a male on the cover is a huge deal for the LGBT community, for my brown people community and it's all so surreal. A total 'is this even…happening right now?' type of vibe. And I'm so pretty.”
The 23-year-old influencer wore a traditional Playboy bunny outfit -- platform heels, sheer black tights, a bow-tie, a black corset, gloves, topped with bunny ears.
Bretman was born in the Philippines and moved to Hawaii at the age of seven. Since rising to fame from his makeup tutorials on YouTube from 2015, Bretman has starred in his own MTV reality show called Following: Bretman Rock which featured a close look into his personal life. He has also received multiple awards, including a People's Choice award for Beauty Influencer and an award for Breakthrough Social Star at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards.
Bretman is also an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ community.
Earlier this year, Bretman also became the cover star for another magazine as he graced Nylon's front page.
