David Licauco may have fallen short of winning the title of Mr. Chinatown back in 2014, where he was named first runner-up, but his hard work and perseverance paid off later on. Today, the Chinito heartthrob has established himself as one the most in-demand male models in the country and is being groomed to be one of the next leading men of GMA-7.
From the catwalk to television, David has been sharpening his skills in acting by doing several soaps like 'TODA One I Love' (2019), 'Kapag Nahati Ang Puso' (2018), 'Mulawin vs Ravena' (2017), 'Heartful Café' (2021), and in 2022, he bagged the lead role as Anton Chan on 'Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.'
In 2022, David made waves for his period character role in the hit GMA historical portal fantasy drama 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' based on José Rizal's novels: 'Noli Me Tángere' and 'El Filibusterismo.'
In the acclaimed GMA prime series, David played Fidel, the mischievous friend of Ibarra (Dennis Trillo), and the foe of Klay (Barbie Forteza).
David has also proven that he is a bankable actor too for his portrayal of Hiroshi in the ground-breaking family drama 'Pulang Araw' (2024).
