Joyce Pring Juancho Triviño and Baby Eliam

Joyce Pring, husband Juancho Triviño, and baby Alonso Eliam are all recovering from the virus.

Joyce Pring revealed her family's experience with COVID-19, stressing the importance of remaining in peace with God despite the difficult circumstances.

“Our little family just weathered a bout with [COVID-19] and I'm glad we're all finally recovering,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday, January 20.

The celebrity host also opened up about her realizations from contracting the virus along with her husband Juancho Triviño and their baby Alonso Eliam. She underscored the crucial role of their faith in guiding their family through a journey to recovery.

“The battle with [COVID-19] is a mental one almost as much as it is physical. But what I kept holding onto in the daze of the disease was this: It's never about peace despite circumstances but peace with God. I think the hardest thing about sickness is it forces us to come face to face with our own fragile existence and even worse, the fragile existence of those we love,” Joyce said.

She added that while it was difficult to overcome this chapter in their family's lives, it also served as a humble reminder to put their complete trust in God through both the highs and lows of life.

“It's hard coming to terms with reality. It's hard accepting we're vulnerable, finite, and so deeply at the mercy of our Creator. And so we must make peace with our God and trust Him through all of life's seasons: the joyful ones that are easy to embrace and welcome and those that are harder to weather,” she said.

Joyce extended heartfelt prayers for her followers who may also be going through their personal encounters with the virus. “Praying for all of you who are still in quarantine, recovering, and those of you who are pulling all the Matrix moves to continue avoiding this thing. Praise God for our restored health.”

In February of 2020, she and Little Princess star Juancho Triviño tied the knot after growing close as co-hosts on GMA's Unang Hirit. They welcomed their first child Alonso Eliam on July 2, 2021.
