Celeste Cortesi is filled with gratitude after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 crown on Saturday, April 30.

In an Instagram post, Celeste shared her first thoughts about winning the prestigious beauty pageant title.

First, she mentioned her parents, who have been her source of strength during the coronation night.

She said, "Yesterday, as I was walking on that beautiful stage all I was thinking was my mom and dad. The strength I got from them is indescribable."

Then, she looked back on how she worked hard to win the Miss Universe Philippines title, which is her second beauty pageant title. It can be remembered that prior to this, the Filipino-Italian beauty was crowned as Miss Earth Philippines 2018.

Celeste related,"I've worked so hard for this, I've prepared. And I let God do the rest in knowing that whatever is meant for me will never pass me by. I've grown so much since I came to the Philippines 5 years ago and I really promised myself that I would only join a pageant if ready to take the responsibility of a crown, and I am now.

"Yesterday, I've received my second chance and I am beyond honored and grateful to be able to represent my country in the miss universe stage."

In the same post, the 24-year-old beauty queen also left an inspiring message to her followers.

"I hope that with my story I can inspire so many to never give up on their dreams because thru hard work, perseverance and faith you can achieve anything you want," she concluded.
