Susan Roces and Sheryl Cruz

Actress Sheryl Cruz honored her late 'Mama Inday' Susan Roces on social media: “To be able to kiss her and hug her again would be the greatest miracle in the world."

Seasoned star Sheryl Cruz recently penned an emotional message for her Mama Inday, the late veteran actress Susan Roces, on social media.

In an Instagram post, the former Prima Donnas Season 2 actress shared a throwback photo with her aunt with a handwritten message from the latter.

Along with this photograph, Sheryl wrote in the caption, “It never occurred to me that I might be here one day, talking about my Mama Inday instead of being with her. Mama Inday was unbelievably compassionate. Her heart and her generosity knew no bounds.

“Her door was always open - (literally). You could just walk in and people often did. That's how big her heart was. I am who I am today because of her, she raised me as [if] she was my mom. To be able to kiss and hug her again would be the greatest miracle in the world. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

She then shared that Susan's life was a well-lived blessing and her memory will always be a treasure.

“I love you, Mama Inday,” she ended her post.

Susan, whose real name is Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora, is Sheryl's aunt from her mom's side. The veteran actress passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 80.

Among those who also remembered the late Queen of Philippine Movies include Tina Paner, Bea Alonzo, Judy Ann Santos, Lovi Poe, Michael De Mesa, Lotlot De Leon, Ruby Rodriguez, Kuya Kim Atienza, and more.
