Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray reminisces about her time with the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
With the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 coronation night just around the corner, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is taking a look back at her pageant journey alongside the Binibining Pilipinas Charities.
In a 10-and-a-half-minute video on her YouTube channel, Catriona charted her journey with the organization, starting from her time competing in the pageant in 2018.
More than a minute into the video, we see footage of Catriona talking about how she felt “weird” during the pageant coronation night as she was feeling like it was just a “dance rehearsal.” In the voiceover, Catriona recalled how the 2018 stage represented so much to her as it was another opportunity to represent the country on the international pageant stage and how she felt the drive to put in every fiber of her being to the competition.
The rest of the video then tracks the years that follow, such as when Catriona returned to the Binibining Pilipinas pageant in 2019 as a reigning Miss Universe and her first hosting stint of the pageant in 2021.

On July 31, Catriona will once again be hosting the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night alongside 2016 Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Corodves. The two of them had also co-hosted the pageant last year.
The Binibining Pilipinas pageant is just one of the pageants that Catriona has gotten involved with over the past couple of months. Catriona recently judged the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant, and just a couple of days ago she shared images from a photoshoot with other Miss Universe winners, Miss Univese 2005 Natalie Glebova and current reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu.
Catriona's involvement in the project was met with cheers from her Instagram followers as well as from pageant insiders. The Binibining Pilipinas Instagram account, as well as Josh Yugen of the Miss Universe Bahrain Organization and former Miss Universe Denmark Helena Heuser also cheered her on.
