On Thursday (August 11), Kapuso actress Mikee Quintos shared on Instagram her memories with the late veteran actress Cherie Gil.
Mikee had a chance to work with the “La Primera Contravida” in some shows of GMA including Sirkus and Onanay.
According to the Kapuso star, being with Cherie for the first time at the age of 19 made her feel intimidated but really inspired her a lot.
“I remember my 19-year-old self feeling intimidated by just her presence on the set. Seeing a woman wearing her wit with confidence can be overwhelming for some but she inspired me so much.” She captioned in her post.
The Apoy Sa Langit actress also expressed how she is grateful for the learnings and moments with Cherie Gil.
“Working with @macherieamour two consecutive shows in a row (Sirkus & Onanay) made me realize what being a true actress really is. Her versatility and range really made me want to be like her, she continued. “I am honored to be one of the many lives you touched. And I'll forever be grateful for the moments I shared with you, Ms. Cherie. Cheers for you.”
Cheri Gil passed away on August 5 in New York because of endometrial cancer.
