It's no new news that Miss World 2013 Megan Young is an avid fan of K-pop specifically boy groups such as BTS and SEVENTEEN. That's why the Kapuso actress is currently in a whirlwind of emotions as BigHit Music, the label of global group BTS, announced the members' plan to fulfill their mandatory military services.
In case you didn't know, South Korea has a mandatory 18-month military service for almost all of its able-bodied males. K-pop idols aren't exempted from the law but were given until the age of 30 to defer their service.
The eldest member of BTS and Megan's so-called “bias” Jin is set to be the first one in the group to serve in the military and will be enlisting at the end of the month. This means the K-pop boy band will be complete once again in the year 2025.
In a statement released on Weverse, BigHit Music said, “BigHit Music is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service. After the phenomenal concert to support Busan's bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it's a perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve.”
