Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi has less than two weeks before she has to compete for the Miss Universe crown.
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 is now headed to New Orleans as the coronation night for Miss Universe 2022 is less than two weeks away from now.
Posts on both her and the Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account show Celeste in a striking red outfit, along with her multiple pieces of luggage.
Celeste had spent the Christmas and New Year holidays in Los Angeles, where she undertook the final leg of her training. The Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account shared photos of Celeste at the airport, as well as from her official send-off party. The organization also recently called on Filipinos to help Celeste “carve her path” to the crown by voting on the Miss Universe app.
Once in New Orleans, Celeste will be competing for the newly revealed “Force for Good” crown. Made by jewelry and luxury watch company Mouawad, the crown features 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds.
According to new Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip, the new crown is valued at almost $6 million, or Php335,133,000 based on current exchange rates.
Before the final leg of her training in the United States, Celeste immersed herself in advocacy work, visiting communities in Lanao del Norte alongside the non-government organization Save the Children.
According to Celeste the advocacy work has changed her perspective on the world and made her realize the importance of sharing her blessings.
Celeste also helped repackage relief goods in October last year to “truly kickstart the holiday season” for families that have been victims of a fire in Sampaloc, Manila.
