Kapuso actress Gwen Zamora may be a convincing villain on-screen but very few are aware of how big Gwen's heart is in real life. As a matter of fact, instead of taking a vacation last December, the Filipina-Italian actress chose to spend her Christmas in Tacloban.
“For Christmas, nag-Tacloban kami ng parents ko with my boyfriend and his family,” she shared.
Her boyfriend, Raymond Romualdez is the son of the mayor of Tacloban, Mayor Alfred Romualdez. Being a supportive girlfriend, she immediately gave her helping hand after Typhoon Yolanda's onslaught.
“It was my parents first time to go, so ipinakita namin where things used to be. And we brought them there.”
Gwen admires the resiliency of the people in Tacloban.
“The Taclobanos are very strong warriors!” she proudly told GMANetwork.com.
Gwen also shared that she’s very thankful that things are getting normal in Tacloban.
“It’s complete. Everyone is getting back into their routines Thirty percent of the city has electricity na. It’s getting there faster than you would have expected. ‘Yung mga changes everyday, something gets fixed,” she stated.
