A few months after Jin's enlistment, J-hope will be the second member of the global group BTS to fulfill his mandatory military services.
In a statement on Weverse on Sunday, the group's record label, BigHit Music, said the rapper-dancer has already initiated the process of his enlistment.
“We would like to inform our fans that j-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement,” BigHit said.
It added that further updates will be provided “in due course.”
"We ask you for your continued love and support for j-hope until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist,” BigHit noted.
It was October last year when BigHit Music said the members of the Korean supergroup will be fulfilling their mandatory military services, starting with oldest member and vocalist, Jin.
Jin entered the military in December 2022.
The group is set to reconvene in 2025.
Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton announced recently that J-hope will serve as their newest House Ambassador.
J-hope also released his first solo documentary, j-hope IN THE BOX, this month, which showed his album production, listening party, and rehearsals for Lollapalooza. Link:
