It can be recalled that celebrity couple Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola tied the knot the second time around in Palawan last week.
Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola recently celebrated their third anniversary and the latter dedicated a lengthy and heartfelt message to her spouse.
In an Instagram post, the mom of one uploaded photos from their wedding day and began her post by putting a meaningful quote about marriage.
On February 15, it was reported that the celebrity couple had a special church wedding in Coron, Palawan.
“'Marriage is not the end of the search for love. It's the end of the search for the person to love. The search for ways to love that person has just begun,'” she wrote.
Jessy then revealed what she and her husband said during their Pre-Cana, which is a marriage preparation program for couples who will tie the knot in a Catholic church.
“During our Pre-Cana with father Tito, ang sabi natin hindi na tayo excited ikasal dahil kasal na tayo. Being together for almost 8 years and being married for 3 years have taught me so many things,” she penned.
According to Jessy, one of these is that “love is not always easy and that it isn't supposed to be easy all the time.”
She went on, “You have to constantly work hard for it. And that's okay. Today, I'm choosing to work harder for your love and happiness. Tulad nga ng sabi ni father, do not chase excitement… mas importante ang desire. The desire to get married over and over again with that person you chose.”
The celebrity mom then made a promise to the love of her life and their daughter, Isabella Rose Manzano, or Rosie, and expressed how much she loves them.
“God has given us our biggest blessing, our little Rosie. And I always say this, kayo lang… sapat na. I promise to love our family with all my being. I promise to always choose you over and over again, even on our hardest days and I promise to protect our peace and happiness. I love you Peanut… and I love you, my howhow. Forever and always,” Jessy continued.
The 31-year-old actress ended her post by thanking Luis for always choosing to love her.
She wrote, “Happy 3rd anniversary, my love. Thank you for always choosing to love me no matter what. I love you with all my heart.”
Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola's first wedding ceremony happened in 2021 and the couple welcomed their child, Rosie, in December 2022.
