Buboy Villar welcomed GTV's newest afternoon cooking talk show Lutong Bahay into the comfort of his own home and shared a fun-filled afternoon with Mikee Quintos and Hazel Cheffy.

On November 5 episode of Lutong Bahay, Buboy shared his recipes for success. He also discussed his personal and love life, including his current relationship with internet personality Jelai Andres.

“Alam mo namang best friend ko si Ruru [Madrid], 'di ba? So alam ko 'yung pakiramdam ng isang best friend, at naramdaman ko kay Jelai 'yun,” Buboy told Mikee, ending romantic rumors about his relationship with Jelai.

Looking back on his relationship with Jelai Andres, Buboy emphasized the possibility of finding platonic love in the opposite gender and reminded everyone that a man and a woman could be best friends with no malice at all.

“Puwedeng mangyari 'yun na isang lalaki, magiging best friend ang babae,” the actor said, “Puwede 'yun, na walang halong label o walang kahit anong kalandian.”

He added, “Sabi ko [kay Jelai], panghabang-buhay ko siyang magiging best friend.”

Speaking of romance, Buboy also clarified that he has no plans of getting back together with his ex-girlfriend Angillyn Gorens; instead, they would like to focus on the growth of their children.

“Hindi ko rin ma-explain, pero ayaw ko kasing ipilit 'yung mga bagay na parang hindi na [magwo-work],” Buboy told Mikee.

“Kumbaga, masaya ako sa sitwasyon namin ngayon dahil naka-focus kaming dalawa sa mga anak namin. Wala kaming gusto sa future kung hindi mapaganda ang kinabukasan ng mga anak namin.”

“Masasabi mong gumagana na kung ano 'yung relationship niyo now, and sa tingin mo magla-last na 'yun?” Mikee asks Buboy, which he answered with a firm “yes.”
