Sparkle actress and celebrity mom Yasmien Kurdi tells her spouse Rey Soldevilla on his birthday: “I just want to say how grateful I am to walk this life with you.”
Yasmien Kurdi expressed her love and gratitude to her beloved husband, Rey Soldevilla, who is celebrating his birthday today, May 15.
In an Instagram post, the Sparkle star shared a series of photos of her husband as well as their couple and family snaps, along with a lengthy message to mark the special occasion.
“Happy Birthday, Pangga @rey_soldevilla. Cheers to 19 years of us! Thirteen years of marriage, and we've been through it all, ups, downs, laughs, tears and yet, here we are… still standing strong, still together, a family of four. Sheesh!” she wrote.
Yasmien then recalled that she was instantly drawn to her husband's looks when she met him for the first time. According to the StarStruck alum, she used to be a passenger of her spouse, who is a pilot.
“You're 6 feet tall, moreno, with a smiling face and undeniably handsome. I thought, 'Wow, he looks like a leading man from a movie,'” she said.
The celebrity mom added, “But as I got to know you more, I realized there's so much more to you than just your good looks. You're really smart, kind, and a man of your word. I love that you always have the final say in our family decisions.
“I admit, I'm stubborn sometimes… well, all the time because I love sharing my opinions. But I've learned that no argument wins with you because you always listen, explain, and stay calm… calm ba talaga?! Kaya minsan, umiinit ang usapan natin sa mga simpleng bagay lang… actually, mga walang kwentang bagay. But now I think we've matured a little… Let's ask Ayesha if that's true? Buti nalang sanay na si AZ sa atin!”
Yasmien then expressed how thankful she is to “walk this life” with her husband. She went on, “I may not be a perfect wife; I'm always busy taking care of our Baby Raya, assisting Ayesha with her activities, and preparing for her new school year. Bawi nalang ako sa susunod sayo! Haha!
“Here's to more beautiful moments, more love, more kulitan, and many more years together. We love you so much, Pangga!”
Prior to this, Yasmien uploaded an adorable video of her with her family on Mother's Day and showed that she received a bouquet of flowers and a cake from them.
Rey and Yasmien are blessed with two children namely Ayesha Zara and Raya Layla.
