Did you know that Jeron's first message to Sheena was, “e0wH ph0eZxs?”
Before she says “I do” to fiancé Jeron Manzanero on February 23, Kapuso actress Sheena Halili gave a surprise video to her subscribers on YouTube late Friday evening.
On the 10-minute clip, Sheena and Jeron recount how they were introduced to each other by their friend.
According to the actress, she asked Assistant Director Carlo Kanu if she could be set up on a blind date.
“Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Sige na, pa-date mo na ako. I'm ready.'
“Pumunta siya sa Facebook and at random from A, B, C, D, hanggang I. Sa J lang siya nakakita ng single na guy.”
When she found out that the guy she was being set up with was a lawyer, Sheena couldn't help but feel a bit inferior because of fear of having to speak in English.
“Naku! 'Wag na 'yan. Siguradong Inglisero 'yan! Tapos iisipin ko pa 'yung family, 'yung friends. Naku, mapapagod ako.
“Gusto ko 'yung parang me. 'Yung parang ganito lang, simple lang.”

For his part, Jeron said he was very much surprised to see the social media account of his would-be date. Sheena, back then, had more than 700K followers on Instagram.
“Grabe naman 'to! Sino to?
“'Tas parang nagkakaroon ng recall na parang may kilala nga akong Sheena Halili… StarStruck… ganyan.
“Sabi ko [kay Kanu], 'Sige game! Pero matagal pa ako uuwi, mga two months pa.'
“Sabi ko kung okay lang sabihin mo sa kanya, ime-message ko siya sa Instagram. So, minessage ko na siya tapos humirit pa si Kanu na natatakot siya na baka i-Ingles mo.”
And because of that, Jeron was prompted to text the words: “e0wH ph0eZxs.”
In turn, this made the doubtful Sheena comfortable with the idea of dating a lawyer.
She said, “Parang natawa ako sa una niyang message sa akin na, 'O! Maging komportable ka sa akin. Mali ang iniisip mo.'”

At the time, both Sheena and Jeron were living in two different time zones. Sheena was living in the Philippines while Jeron was studying law in the States.
Their first few dates were all done electronically, either through FaceTime or Skype.
He shares, “So 'yung first date namin, FaceTime.
“The whole time naman magkausap kami. Mag-isa lang rin naman ako sa America and mag-isa lang rin naman siya sa bahay.
“So kami lang nag-uusap and na-e-excite na akong umuwi.”
He even confessed that there was a point in his life that he didn't want to go back home.
But that all changed upon meeting Sheena.
“Kung 'di ko siya nakilala parang ayaw ko nang umuwi, e.
“Ayaw ko nang bumalik sa Pilipinas. Pero nung nakilala ko siya, parang there was somethng to look forward to.
“Pero at that time, ganun pa lang naman si Sheena at 'di ko pa siya nakikita personally. Parang siya lang yung sort of excitement ko para umuwi.”
And when he came to the Philippines, he and Sheena finally met the night he landed--all this while beating jet lag.
According to the actress, their date was one for the books.
“Ang napag-usapan namin is about life and parang kung tingnan niya ko parang natutunaw ako,” she gushes.
And the rest, as they say, is history. The two have been inseparable since.
Jeron finally popped the question on August 26, 2018.
