In the latest episode of Mikael Daez and Megan Young's podcast, '#BehindRelationshipGoals,' the celebrity couple talked about how they kept the flame in their 10-year-relationship alive.
While reminiscing about their decade-long romance, Megan remembered the time she became super clingy to Mikael during the middle stages of their relationship.
According to Megan, she would base her entire schedule around Mikael's and everything he did and liked, she would follow.
"I literally made you my world," she said.
Mikael then opened up to Megan's best friends about how she was losing herself and stunting her personal growth in their relationship.
"That didn't sit well with me because it was always my belief that I wanted Boneezy (Megan) to grow as a person, as an individual and not sacrifice that just for the sake of the relationship. I didn't feel that that worked or made for a good relationship in my mind," said Mikael.
Megan's friends then brought it up with her. However, she didn't talk about it with Mikael.
The problem came when Mikael found out that Megan was aware about his issue with her all this time but she never confronted him. It simply ticked Mikael off.
"I would say that that point was the closest to us breaking up ever.
"I couldn't see you as a person I wanted to be with. I remember how I felt, I saw Boneezy as someone in the future who I didn't want to be with because she wasn't growing independently or as an individual and why would I want to be with someone who doesn't want to grow as an individual," he bared.
After a lot of tears and confusion on Megan's part, they were eventually able to fix their rough patch and have been going strong ever since.
