Rob Mananquil and Maxene Magalona

This is the first time Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil will share their artistic prenup video and the story behind it.

“In honor of our 3rd wedding anniversary, we're posting our prenup video, which we only shared with our guests at our reception,” actress Maxene Magalona writes on Instagram.

The couple, who tied the knot back on January 11, 2018, posted the same video with the title “Gunita,” which was revealed to be written by Maxene's husband, musician Rob Mananquil.

She added, “Every time I watch this, it brings happy tears to my eyes and makes my heart beam with pride as I know how my husband pours his soul into every one of his songs.”

According to Maxene, the song happens to be her favorite because its melody sounds like a representation of their love -- “high-strung and intense yet dreamy and harmonious.”

“A kaleidoscopic balance between the light and the dark,” she said.

In the latter part of the post, Maxene admitted that their marriage is “far from perfect,” but she wouldn't trade it for the world because of her husband.

“Ours is not the perfect marriage, and I know we still have a long way ahead of us, but there's no one I'd rather go on this journey with than you, @robmananquil.

“You're the only song my soul longs to hear. I love you. Happy third wedding anniversary!”

For his part, Rob also penned a loving message to his wife and even recalled how they were opposites at the time of their meeting more than six years ago.

He said on Instagram, “It was 6 years ago when I first met @maxenemagalona. She was into parties, night outs, and eating meat, while I was into yoga, meditation, and have stopped eating meat for 10 years already, and was transitioning into becoming vegetarian/vegan.

“We were on totally opposite sides of the moon, but the moment our eyes touched contact, it was a luminous glaze, tears just fell down like rain, and we knew our meeting was a meeting of faith.”

Despite their huge difference in lifestyle, the couple eventually made it work by “choosing each other daily, constantly, and momentarily.”

In the words of Rob, “It's a continuous commitment to your partner and yourself.”

He added, “Every day, Maxx and I [would] deepen our understanding of what it means to love one another unconditionally.

“Of course, with love, comes understanding, and within the 1st year of being a couple, instead of her joining my veg-life, yoga, and meditation life - it was the other way around; I became her partner in all the parties, events, drinks, and suddenly was eating meat again -- love has it's ways.”

Eventually, Maxene would join in on Rob's efforts by committing and dedicating herself to yoga, meditation, and eating vegan food.

“It's been one of the most transformative and rewarding of journeys. It doesn't always come easy, but those 4 years of work and patience was worth it,” he said.

“I love you, @maxenemagalona. Thank you for allowing yourself to open up to my world of yoga, meditation, and vegan food.

“I know it's not the norm for most males out there, and I am forever grateful for you accepting my invitation to give them a try. I choose you every day and always. Thank you for always being at my side.”
