Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista is known for being a promoter of self-love regarding beauty and fashion.

But did you know she takes it up a notch even on closed doors with her husband, Sorsogon governor Chiz Escudero?

In an interview with dermatologist Aivee Teo, the Kapuso actress says that she doesn't only keep her appearances to the public but also her husband.

She began, “I always believe that you should never let go of yourself just because nag-asawa ka na o nag-anak ka na. Again, it has a connection to having dreams and aspirations in life -- it's the same with how your look.

“It's not that you're vain, or being vain is a sin. It's about taking care of yourself for your self-worth. So, I feel na it's never too late to spice it up a bit.

“When you're at home, you can do something about your insecurities. One day lang, you need one day to start working out and eating right to feel good instantly at para ma-inspire din 'yung husband mo.”

Turning to Dr. Teo, Heart revealed that she even goes to the nines when it comes to her sleepwear so that she can feel good and look good in the eyes of her husband in the morning.

“Ako pag natutulog ako, super gown ako. Yeah, naka night gown ako. I wear silk, at robes na maganda. Because wala ka na ngang make-up, kaya gandahan mo na.

“It feels good, ha. Even in the morning, it feels good to wake up like that.”

She added, “Just in connection with being a husband and wife, my dad would always tell me to leave a little bit for yourself.

“So, if I go to the toilet, I close the door. If magbibihis ako, I don't make bihis in front of Chiz.

“When he sees me naked, he'll only see me naked when it's 'that moment.' Because it has to be fresh sa utak n'ya. Hindi 'yung dadaan siya nagpo-polbo ka sa harap n'ya.

“My dad even said na kung kaya pwede separate bathrooms.”

Heart then went over her routine as soon as she wakes up, which includes gargling the moment she wakes up and taking a bath as soon as Chiz is downstairs drinking his morning coffee.

“To combat morning breath, the moment I go to the toilet, I gargle. He'll never see me putting lotion kahit na we have only one bathroom.

“'Pag bumaba na siya to go have coffee in the morning, maliligo na ako. So bababa na ako, naka-robe na ako. Tapos, we don't have separate banyos, but we made sure na 'yung toilet may door kaya closed na siya.”
