Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati were among the first celebrity couples whose wedding was threatened to be canceled last year as Metro Manila prepared for a strict community quarantine against COVID-19.
Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati take to social media their celebration of their first wedding anniversary.
Richard and Sarah were supposed to tie the knot in a big ceremony in a luxurious hotel in Taguig City on March 14, 2020. The long-time partners however decided to postpone their grand wedding due to the increasing threat of COVID-19 and instead held an intimate celebration which was witnessed only by their families and loved ones.
A year after, the couple remains in love and full of bliss as they reach their first year of being husband and wife.
Richard shared a collage of his best photos with Sarah on his Instagram account and wrote, “Happy 1st wedding anniversary my love. May our trust and love keep growing in the passing of each year, through the highs and lows. I know the road ahead will not always be smooth, there will be speed bumps along the way, some inevitable setbacks, but with God's shining light upon us, I know our love will always be victorious. So never be afraid my love, for I will always be by your side, holding your hand as we go through our chosen path in life. You are the pillar of my life and I wake up every morning trying to become a better man because of you. I love you and I will forever cherish you.”
Sarah, meanwhile shared their video, and said, “You and me, hand in hand. Through life's ups and downs. Together. Today, tomorrow and forever. Happy one year, my love @richardgutz. Je t'aime.”
Richard and Sarah got engaged in 2017. They have been blessed with two kids, Zion and Kai.
