“No regrets because you are one of the best decisions I had in my life,” wrote Sunshine.
Sunshine Cruz shared a sweet Father's Day message for Macky Mathay, recalling their love story on Instagram.
On June 20, Sunshine posted a photo of her kissing Macky on the cheek. She thanked her partner of over four years for the love and being the best father figure to her daughters.
Sunshine wrote in the caption, “Separated year 2013 and had my 2nd chance [at] love year 2016. I had no plans of being in a relationship because I was too focused on work and giving my children a comfortable life. You slid into my DMs and the rest is history.
"No regrets because you are one of the best decisions I had in my life. Thank you for accepting me and loving me for who I really am. Hindi ko alam na puwede pa lang hindi pinaaalala ang mga kamalian na nagawa ng isang tao sa past. You accepted me for my past (mistakes/decisions) and my present."
The actress added, "Thank you for being the best father figure to the girls. Ikaw ang tumatayong ama nila and they're blessed to have you in their lives too! Thank you my Macky! I love you! We love you!"

Sunshine and Macky celebrate their anniversary every September. The two met through Sunshine's friend and Macky's half-sister, actress Ara Mina.
In 2018, the court granted Sunshine's petition for the annulment of her marriage to Cesar Montano. They have three daughters: Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angeline, and Angel Franchescka.
