Matteo Guidicelli felt grateful to be spending his many "firsts" with his wife, Sarah Geronimo, and that included watching an opera in Italy during their recent trip there.
Last Monday, August 1, the Filipino-Italian actor shared highlights from their first opera-viewing experience at the historical Roman amphitheater Arena Di Verona in Verona.
The couple got to see Aida, which was recommended by the ambassador of Italy to the Philippines, Marco Clemente.
Aida is a four-act opera by Giuseppe Verdi, telling a timeless story of love and betrayal in the middle of a war.
It follows Aida, an Ethiopian princess held captive in Egypt, who is in love with Egyptian army general Radames and vice versa. The conflict arises when Radames is chosen to lead a war with Ethiopia, leaving Aida torn between her love for Radames and her love for her country.
Seeing Aida is one for the books for both Matteo and Sarah who looked very interested in the story, as seen on the video her husband uploaded on Facebook.
Matteo can't help but rave about Verdi's powerful music, saying "the show was fantastic with singers belting Italian lyrics with so much emotion!"
As they eased to their new title as Mr. and Mrs. Guidicelli, let's take a look at their other many "firsts" as husband and wife that are immortalized in photos taken by their loved ones for everyone to see.
