“You are an inspiration to many and I am sooo proud of you, mahal ko,” Andi Eigenmann said to Philmar Alipayo.
Andi Eigenmann is one proud fiancée after Philmar Alipayo recently competed in the 26th Siargao International Surfing Cup.
In an Instagram post, Andi said she waited three years to write another appreciation post for Philmar, who made it to the semi-finals of the surf competition.
"I hope this [is] a good way to get you to keep believing in yourself! Because you still got this,” she wrote in her caption.
Andi said Philmar is an inspiration, especially after going up against someone he looks up to.
“You are an inspiration to many and I am sooo proud of you, mahal ko. Especially going up against Marama, someone you love and respect,” she said.
Andi also highlighted Philmar's sportsmanship, which she said reminded her of why she loves him.
"But what's most admirable is your good sportsmanship, and how gracefully you accepted the loss and moved on to support your friend. [R]eminds me why I love you so much!”
She concluded with a promise to always support Philmar, “Good luck on all the upcoming comps. [W]e are here to support you all the way!”
Philmar, meanwhile, responded to Andi's sweet post with an equally sweet, “Love you mahal ko.”
