
Amid controversies with the country's new travel slogan, "Love The Philippines" comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto makes light of the situation with her own take on the phrase.
On Monday Rufa Mae wrote on social media, "Para sa tourist…go go go Philippines! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. Para sa bayan."
Her post included a photo of her in a red Filipiniana, with the slogan "Go Go Go Philippines" written in bold font, similar to the "Love The Philippines" tourism campaign from the Department of Tourism (DOT).
"A slogan you can hear," One Facebook user said.
Another comment read, "Effective 'yung kaniya kasi maririnig mo agad kahit 'di pa nagsasalita."
"A picture with built in audio + facial expression + hand gestures," a Facebook user wrote.
"Go Go Go Philippines! Todo Na Tour na!," a fan joked.
In November 2016, Rufa Mae tied the knot with now husband Trevor Magallanes, who is based in the U.S. The following year, they welcomed their first child, Athena.
In 2020, the actress-comedienne traveled to the U.S. and purchased a home with Trevor, and has been living in the Philippines and the U.S.
In her YouTube Channel, Rufa Mae Quinto, the comedienne often talks about life in the U.S. and missing the Philippines.
Recently, Rufa Mae also shared photos of her in the TikTok Philippines office.
