In celebration of their eighth anniversary, Kapuso couple Shaira Diaz and Edgar Allan Guzman went to the island of Boracay last Tuesday, February 16.
The getaway became more special since it was their first vacation together after years of not being able to do so because of work and the pandemic.
In a vlog uploaded on the actor's YouTube channel, they revealed that they first met on the set of the now-defunct reality talent show, 'Artista Academy,' where Shaira was a contestant.
EA was a guest on the show and was tasked to be paired with Shaira for a dance number. Because of the performance, Shaira got her first top 1 rank on the show.
The two met again in a mall show. It was when EA realized that he likes Shaira and wants to get to know her more.
The 'Heartful Cafe' actor made the first move and approached Shaira's best friend, “Nilapitan ko, kinuha ko 'yung number ng best friend niya para lang itanong sa best friend niya 'yung number niya [Shaira].”
EA admitted that he got shy and didn't message Shaira's best friend to get her number.
“May kinuhanan akong isang kaibigan niya. Meron pa akong isa pang tao na kinuhanan ng number niya. Dun ko nakuha 'yung number niya at dun ko siya naka-text,” he said.
They officially got in a relationship in February 2013, and time really does fly fast as they now celebrating their eight years of love.
